I have worked as lead Montessori teacher at well-known Montessori Schools in Frisco and Plano, and in Arizona. Even though I graduated with a bachelor #39;s degree in science, my passion was for teaching young children and I started my teaching career in 1999 in a traditional school. I experienced the benefits and values of Montessori education with my daughter. From then on, there was no turning back. I have my Texas Director Credential and am honoured to take on this very responsible role. I am also an instructor at North Texas Montessori Institute for Adult Learners. I have created and implemented a robust curriculum on Child Development, and other Montessori modules. A child-centred approach is the key to Montessori education. The children we teach today are the adults of tomorrow. I have been approached by many parents during my time as a Montessori Guide with the question of how to handle anger, tantrums, and other common issues parents of young children face. This motivated me to go and get myself certified as a Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and a Positive Discipline Parent Educator. I am drawn to Montessori education because it is an unconventional form of education fostering the holistic development of children, and it helps all children irrespective of their learning differences or social status. A child-centred approach is the key to Montessori education. The children we teach today are the adults of tomorrow. I am excited to be part of a vibrant group and together we aspire to bring a positive change to the lives of children.
